About me?

I’m Kevin Lara, a professional photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I speak both English and Spanish, and I specialize in portrait and concert/music photography.

Like a lot of people, I started with just a camera and slowly got completely carried away by how much I loved creating photos and capturing moments. What started as curiosity quickly became something I genuinely fell in love with.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph incredible musicians and artists including Suki Waterhouse, Sir Chloe, Maggie Lindemann, Luna Li, and many other amazing creatives, capturing everything from live performances and backstage moments to artist portraits and promotional content.

 

My style has naturally evolved into something inspired by vintage textures and old film photography, with slightly muted but still rich and intentional colors. While my portrait work leans cinematic and nostalgic, my concert photography often mixes vibrant lighting and unusual color combinations to create bold, energetic, and emotionally-driven images.

 

From portraits to concerts, proposals to weddings, and social media content to promotional work, I put genuine care and passion into everything I create.

I’m probably not the best at writing “About Me” sections, but one thing I do know is that I truly love what I do — and I’d love to be a part of whatever you’re looking to bring to life.
